Pathways/Senderos was established in 1993. This neighborhood- based program targets poverty-stricken youth and their families for comprehensive, holistic services designed ultimately to prevent teen pregnancy. The program model includes six integrated components: academic support; career preparation; family life and sex education; recreation/lifetime sports; health care; and self-esteem enhancement. The center is annually evaluated by Philliber Research Associates. All rides supported by the Central Connecticut Cycling Club. Bike Requirements: ANSI and/or SNELL approved helmets are required and must be brought to the registration desk. Cycling safety and strict adherence to all rules of the road are imperative. All bikes must be tuned up before the ride. Provided: All participants will receive a map and cue sheet. All routes will be marked. The 25-mile bike route will be patrolled by a sag wagon. Plenty of food, water and restrooms are available. The first 100 participants will receive a t-shirt, so register early.
